Leo's First Days

Leo spent his first days with us locked in our guest room. This was at the recommendation of the Humane Society, who suggested that it would give him a chance to adjust to his new surroundings, and give Polo a chance to adjust to the idea of having another cat around. Here, Leo is having a quick snack before attacking the next toy he can find.

We put up the child gate at the top of the stairs to keep him from tumbling down. We also were trying to keep him in a restricted area as part of his acclamation to his new home. But he quickly decided that things must be greener on the other side of the child gate...

Before either of us could reach him, over the gate and down the stairs he went. It took him less than a minute to figure out that this wasn't much of a barrier. The best I could do was snap a quick photo.

Polo was eager to meet Leo when Leo was locked up in the guest room. He'd stick his paw under the door and try to get Leo to play. But now that Leo's out, Polo's not so sure this is a good idea!
